Emporia’s Homelessness Advisory Board will have another Point in Time effort next week.
Board members will meet at White Auditorium at 4 pm Monday before going across town to collect data.
This follows similar information collection efforts in January and June. Following the January effort, the committee reported progress in expanding local and state partnerships and data collection improvements. It also began exploring a full-time homelessness coordinator position and continued efforts to obtain grant funds.
More discussions are ahead on grant funding, strategic plan development and organization engagement. Logistical conversations will continue about shelters versus housing options.
