It is time.
Halfway to Everywhere begins Friday evening at the Emporia Granada Theatre, and founder Hank Osterhout is excited for the nearly 20 musical acts performing through late Saturday night. He also says there has been a lot of work to make the event successful.
Osterhout is also excited for the activities in the 10 block of West Ninth green space, including the Arts Festival and the busking space for the festival.
Halfway locations will be at the Granada and also the 800 and 900 blocks of Commercial, with the main stage in the new food truck plaza near 10th and Commercial. The other concert stages will be near Eighth and Commercial and Ninth and Commercial.
Its the first time in festival history where there is a cost to admission. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for youths ages 5-18. VIP packages are also available.
