USD 251 North Lyon County and USD 252 Southern Lyon County have separate board of education meetings this week.
USD 251 North Lyon County
The USD 251 North Lyon County Board of Education meets Wednesday.
Board members will field several regular reports, including the financial and legislative report and the capital outlay update. There will also be a discussion about disposing unspecified district property. One executive session regarding personnel is planned.
The meeting is at 6 pm Wednesday at the board meeting room in Americus.
USD 252 Southern Lyon County
USD 252 Southern Lyon County is on the cusp of approving its 2024-2025 budget, and action could well come this week.
The district’s Board of Education is set to approve the annual budget and decision on the revenue-neutral rate as part of separate action items Wednesday. There will be public hearings before both votes.
Also, board members will discuss policy for remaining class money and options for sending bands to state competitions. Tours of Olpe school facilities will also be included.
The meeting is at 6 pm Wednesday at Olpe High.
