Emporia’s large-scale economic development boards are meeting separately this week.
Emporia Enterprises will meet at 4 pm Wednesday at the Trusler Business Center, 719 Commercial. the main order of business is an update on the Vision First strategic economic study, although at least one executive session is planned.
The Regional Development Association of East Central Kansas Board of Directors will meet at 7 am Friday, also at the Trusler Business Center. The board will also get an update on Vision First, but it will also discuss a manufacturer’s appreciation event next month and an appropriation request from Flint Hills Technical College. One executive session is also planned.
