Emporia’s newest city commissioner, Tyler Curtis, will meet informally with the public Thursday as part of what he’s calling “Connect with Curtis.”
Curtis was sworn in as city commissioner last month following the death of longtime commissioner Danny Giefer in July. Curtis says he’s already hearing a range of questions and concerns about local matters.
“Connect with Curtis” will debut at Cooltura Conexion, 707 Commercial, from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Curtis will have another gathering next week and plans to have relatively frequent meetings over the next four to six weeks before spacing the meetings out.
