A pair of local banking professionals have been named recipients of a prestigious award.
Emporia State Federal Credit Union announced Tuesday that Jared Germann and Justin Rahe had been named recipients of the NextGen Under 30 Kansas Award in the Finance and Banking category. The NextGen Under 30 award recognizes top young professionals from across Kansas who have demonstrated leadership, commitment and dedication to their respective fields.
Rahe has been with the credit union since 2018 beginning as a full-time teller. He was promoted to a leadership role just a year later and is currently a member of ESFCU’s management team. His significant contributions to the credit union included his lead role in converting its better than 4,000 online and mobile banking members to a new platform.
In a news release from ESFCU Tuesday, Rahe stated of his position that he enjoys “the opportunity to provide financial education to all members of our community;
from Pre-K to Senior Citizens.”
Germann, currently a mortgage loan officer, has worked at the credit union for nearly eight years now. Germann graduated from Emporia State University with a degree in communications in 2017 and uses said degree daily through his regular conversations with credit union members, coworkers and the community.
Germann stated in the news release from ESFCU, “Although our job may seem repetitive in nature, every day is an opportunity to grow and learn and truthfully no two days are the same. Each home loan requires its own set of unique standards, requires different communication styles, and offers its own twists and turns, despite always having the same end goal.”
Both Germann and Rahe will join KVOE’s Newsmaker 2 segment at 8:40 am Thursday to discuss the award in greater detail.
