The Emporia High football team continues its three-game homestand Friday night as it hosts Coffeyville.
Both the Spartans and the Golden Tornado are in search of their first win of the season. This will be the first meeting between the two schools since 2003. Coffeyville has been outscored 74-14 in its first two games against Circle and Chanute.
Emporia High coach Kaden Glinsmann said the Spartans have to take it one play at a time.
Senior Javen Arndt said the Spartans have to have a great mindset heading into the game.
