The Kansas City Royals never had a lead bigger than one run but held on to win Game 2 and sweep their best-of-three American League Wild Card series 2-1 over Baltimore at Oriole Park at Camden Yards Wednesday. The Royals scored in the first inning when Vinnie Pasquantino drove in Michael Massey. The Orioles tied it in the fifth on a solo homer off KC starter Seth Lugo who went 4.1 innings giving up five hits while striking out six in a no decision. Angel Zerpa (1-0) got three outs with two strikeouts to earn the win as Bobby Witt Jr. put KC back up with an RBI in the top of the sixth. The Royals bullpen was dominant pitching 7.2 innings of scoreless relief in the series. Lucas Erceg picked up his second postseason save.
