How bare is the Salvation Army’s food pantry ahead of KVOE’s Drive for Food later this month?
Salvation Army Capt. Mylie Hadden says ramen is needed — but so are breakfast cereals, most canned vegetables, canned fruit, refried beans, canned tomato products, pasta sauces, soups and nonperishable snacks.
ON KVOE’s Morning Show on Thursday, Hadden says an increase in demand has wiped out the supply.
KVOE is now actively seeking addresses for the Drive for Food on Oct. 17. To participate, call the KVOE office at 620-342-1400, email kvoe@kvoe.com or message the Bluestem Farm and Ranch text line at 620-342-5863 with your address. KVOE staffers and volunteers will then pick up your donations.
The drive has several dropoff locations, including:
*ESB Financial
*LCAT
*Newman Regional Health
