All storefronts included in Phase Three of the Emporia Pavillions Development Project are open for business.
The final storefront, Old Navy, had its grand opening ceremony Saturday morning. During Saturday’s activities, KVOE spoke with General Manager Kurston Buser (BOO-zer) who says she and her staff are excited and proud to now be a part of the Emporia retail family.
The Emporia location is the 12th Old Navy store to open in the state of Kansas according to District Manager Anthony Cooremans who says “when you think of what Old Navy stands for” Kansas is the perfect fit.
The opening of Old Navy follows the opening of Five Below last month and the recent relocation of Maurices from Flint Hills Mall as part of phase three of the Pavillions Development. With phase three now complete, Pavillions Director Spencer Thomson tells KVOE News he is already planning for phase four of the development the first tenants of which have already been announced. City officials confirm Ulta Beauty and PetSmart will be the next stores to occupy space at the development. Both will be built directly east of Old Navy, which had its soft opening Wednesday ahead of its grand opening Saturday. Foundation work for the new stores may begin before Thanksgiving.
Work continues to bring additional retailers to the property as well as restaurants.
Hobby Lobby was the first store at Pavilions, opening to shoppers in 2017. Phase 2 stores included Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less and Shoe Dept Encore.
