Military service personnel past and present got a warm welcome throughout Saturday’s Veterans Fall Festival in Allen, and organizer Robert Mason says that was by design.
Saturday’s activity list included stagecoach rides, kids activities and old-fashioned gun fights throughout the day-long event, along with an ATV ride, car show, craft vendors, food trucks, raffles and a bank robbery re-enactment. The ATV winner, Kurtis Meierhoff, donated his $100 winnings back to the event committee.
Mason says planning is getting started for next year, with an emphasis on increasing the activity list for children and parents.
