A Missouri man has been arrested for suspected drug distribution activity in Osage County.
Sheriff Chris Wells says the arrest at Main and Topeka in Carbondale happened shortly after 2:30 pm Tuesday and followed an unspecified traffic violation. Wells says a K-9 unit was involved and illegal narcotics were located during the stop.
Leroy Spurgeon, age 55 of Livonia, Missouri, was arrested on suspicion of distributing methamphetamine, possessing marijuana and possessing paraphernalia. Amounts have not been specified.
Formal charges are pending.
