Traffic near Emporia State University will be constricted for a few days.
Emporia’s annual CCLIP street resurfacing project now has crews on the south and west sides of campus, with milling or pavement removal underway on 12th between Merchant and Commercial and milling done on Merchant between 12th and Interstate 35.
Pavement overlay is done on Commercial between Kansas Avenue and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks.
Work is expected to last into November.
CCLIP helps cities repave highways in their city limits. A cost share is involved between the cities and the Kansas Department of Transportation.
