The fire danger for Lyon and surrounding counties isn’t extreme Friday, but it’s still very high.
High temperatures in the mid-70s will combine with southerly wind gusts as high as 35 mph and relative humidity levels between 20-30 percent to elevate the fire danger. Conditions were slightly more prone to fire issues Thursday, with slightly higher winds and slightly lower relative humidity levels.
As was the case Thursday, residents are urged to be extremely careful with anything that could spark a fire. Unlike Thursday, there are no red flag warnings to signal outdoor burn bans.
