The Emporia State soccer team used quality shots over quantity of shots in a 3-0 victory at Rogers State at Soldier Field in Claremore, Okla. on Friday. Megyn Mahloch got the scoring started on an assist by Hadlie Lowe before Hailey Gancarz earned her first score of the year on an Aubrey Seltman dish with less than 10 minutes to go in the first half. Just over 20 minutes into the second half, Mia Sandvig scored on a free kick and the Lady Hornets were never threatened after that. ESU was outshot 12-11 but had eight shots on goal to just three for the Red & Navy. ESU (5-4-2, 3-2-1 MIAA) continues a four-game road wing by heading to Northeastern State for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff on Sunday.
