No medical transports were needed following a two-vehicle accident in West Emporia Saturday afternoon.
The accident was reported at the intersection of US Highway 50 and Industrial Road, in front of the Golden Wok buffet, just before 3 pm. According to Emporia Police on the scene, the accident developed after a northbound Suzuki SUV initiated a turn into the buffet’s parking lot.
A southbound vehicle in the inside lane yielded to the Suzuki, however, a southbound Tahoe SUV did not and struck the Suzuki on the passenger side as it turned into the parking lot. Paramedics observed several individuals at the scene, however, none required a trip to the hospital.
The Suzuki had to be towed away from the scene. Southbound traffic was down to one lane for a short time following the collision.
