Lynn Smith couldn’t stay away from Pioneer Bluffs very long.
Smith retired as the entity’s director last year after leading Pioneer Bluffs 15 years. Now she’s filling a brand-new position: director of donor relations. On KVOE’s Morning Show on Monday, Smith said she enjoys working with current director Sammy Jo Happy — and she relishes her new role.
Happy says the decision to bring Smith back on board was a no- brainer for her and Pioneer Bluffs as a whole.
Smith’s duties are as you would imagine: maintaining and developing Pioneer Bluffs’ donor base. She was named one of the Ingram’s Magazine “50 Kansans You Should Know” in 2021 and earned a Kansas Sampler “We Kan!” award in 2020.
Pioneer Bluffs is getting ready for its involvement in Match Day next month. It recently had its annual Fall Roundup, featuring a concert by Weda Skirts.
