A Topeka man charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and other charges after an alleged standoff in Emporia this past spring has a trial status hearing next week.
Tyler Seifert is approaching potential trial start dates of either Nov. 4 or Nov. 25. The status hearing will be Wednesday at 4 pm.
Seifert currently faces nine total counts, including single counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated battery, aggravated residential burglary, criminal discharge of a weapon and criminal threat after an incident in April where one person was shot and Seifert allegedly barricaded himself and several others in a house in the 700 block of State. He is also charged with four counts of aggravated assault. A kidnapping count was dropped earlier this year.
