Two Cottonwood Falls residents were hurt during a rollover crash in Butler County on Friday night.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash involving 43-year-old Bobby Shortino and 18-year-old Michael Shortino happened around 10:20 pm at Kansas Turnpike mile marker 88, less than five miles southwest of the Cassoday exit and almost 40 miles southwest of the Emporia gate.
Troopers say Bobby Shortino was driving an SUV northbound when she overcorrected for unlisted reasons. Shortino last control of the SUV, which went into a nearby ditch and rolled at least once.
Both people inside the SUV suffered suspected minor injuries. Bobby Shortino was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment, while Michael Shortino went to Susan B Allen Hospital in El Dorado for medical care.
