A radical fundraising campaign, now in its second year, is wrapping up soon.
The second annual Radical Champions campaign supporting the operations of Radical Life Core Community will conclude next Friday, November 8th. The campaign charges 15 community members to raise both awareness and financial support for the organization with each individual tasked with raising $1,000 each.
Community Liason Sydney Shryock, a recent guest of KVOE’s Morning Show, says both tasks are important, but the main emphasis is on the awareness aspect.
Shryock says thus far, the campaign has gone very well with this year’s champions organizing several unique events and fundraising opportunities over the last several weeks. Radical Life is an Emporia-based program dedicated to keeping children out of the foster care system.
All proceeds will go to support Radical Life’s continued work in the community which includes providing services and support to families struggling with poverty, addiction or instability.
