The Emporia Recreation Commission Rec Center Steering Committee has a check-in meeting Wednesday.
Committee members will focus their conversations on reviews for potential renovations to the Lee Beran Recreation Center, including a possible demolition of part of the existing building. There will also be discussions about the next community engagement session Nov. 12, as well as other next steps in the process towards a new public recreation facility at Champions Landing.
The Steering Committee meeting will be at 3 pm at Mary Herbert Education Center, ahead of the community engagement session and other committee meetings Nov. 12-13. The next meeting for the Rec Commission Board is Nov. 18.
