Emporia Symphony Orchestra entertains with Symphonic Spooktacular

The Emporia Symphony Orchestra was in fine form for its 2024-25 debut Tuesday night.

The Symphony Orchestra had its Symphonic Spooktacular, featuring the theme from Ghostbusters — heard here — as well as other movies like Hook, Basic Instinct, Jurassic Park and Poltergeist.

An estimated 500 people went to the Emporia Granada Theatre for the show.

Next up for the Emporia Symphony Orchestra is Sounds of Christmas, which will be Dec. 2 at Albert Taylor Hall. Other concerts will be Feb. 24 and April 22.
