USD 245 Southern Coffey County Administration informed the Kansas State High School Activities Association Friday that the Titan football team has decided to forfeit its upcoming postseason game next Friday at Cunningham.
SCC stated the forfeit was due to a lack of healthy players. In a statement posted to the USD 245 LeRoy-Gridley Facebook page, “This was not a decision the district took lightly but after much discussion, it was determined that forfeiting the game was necessary thereby ending the 2024 high school football season. We wish our seniors the very best and look forward to celebrating their many accomplishments throughout the rest of the school year.”
SCC, in its third season as a six-man program, was 0-7 this year while also transitioning into the Three Rivers League after departing the Lyon County League last year.
