The quest for a third consecutive state championship for the Lebo volleyball team fell just short Saturday morning at White Auditorium.
After defeating Hanover for state championships in 2022 and 2023, Hanover claimed this year’s Class 1A-Division II State Volleyball Championship with a 25-20, 25-17 victory over the Wolves. Lebo advanced to the championship match by defeating Argonia, 25-20, 25-18.
Lebo head coach Gina Peek said it was another great season with newcomers and returners a part of the team.
Lebo finishes its season with a 43-4 record. The Wolves senior class has been a part of two state championships and two runner-up finishes. Lebo’s senior class includes Saige Hadley, Siara Crouch, Abi Jones and Susanna Knight.
