Work is on pause as conditions dry out this week after heavy rainfall, but progress is evident on Emporia’s newest hotel.
Part of the frame has been erected at 3010 Eaglecrest, the planned site for a nearly-90-room hotel and convention center.
Dirt work began in July after demolition began in December 2022. The property, most recently the home of a Montana Mike’s restaurant, had been vacant since 2017.
The hotel is tentatively set for a Fairfield flag. A construction timetable is pending.
