One person went to the hospital after a vehicle and e-bike collided at an Emporia intersection late Tuesday afternoon.
Emporia Police and EMS were called to the intersection of West 12th Avenue and Luther at 4:05 pm for an injury accident. According to police at the scene, a cyclist was traveling westbound on 12th while at the same time a vehicle, make and model not listed, was southbound on Luther.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly did not see the cyclist and began to move into the intersection causing the two to collide. The cyclist was examined at the scene by EMS but refused medical transport.
The individual later went by private vehicle with what police called minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle was unharmed.
No citations have been issued. Names of those involved have not been released.
Westbound traffic on 12th was blocked for roughly 45 minutes following the collision.
