Proceedings in a Lyon County aggravated intimidation case are on hold until sentencing is wrapped up in a separate yet related matter.
During a hearing in Lyon County District Court Wednesday, proceedings in the case against Travis Wade Westcott were continued until at least next month with Westcott set to be sentenced in an attempted murder case dating back to March of 2020. Westcott’s sentencing hearing, set for December 20, follows his conviction on 10 counts of threatening or violent activity against a woman but was found not guilty of attempted murder.
Westcott was charged after alleged violent activity against a woman periodically between March 2020 and May 2023. Charges in the aggravated intimidation case followed alleged activity dating back to December 2023.
