The Amend Family Concert Series Fall Concert is set for Sunday.
The concert will feature the Mid-America Woodwind Quintet. Emporia State music professor Dawn McConkie says the concert will feature a variety of classical selections.
Sunday’s concert will take place at 3 p.m. at the Sauder Alumni Center with free admission. Emporia State Assistant Dean and Director of Music in the School of Visual and Performing Arts Allan Comstock says the Sauder Alumni Center has great acoustics and a variety of amenities than having it being held in Heath Recital Hall.
The Amend Family Concert Series began before COVID by Doug and Margaret Amend. The Amends wanted to find a way to support classical music and being able to bring guest performers to Emporia State University.
