Flint Hills Technical College started the week by announcing a massive grant for programs. It closed the week with an announcement on scholarships.
The Gene Haas Foundation is granting $12,000 for scholarships as students pursue machine-based engineering coursework. Specifically, this will help students enrolled in the college’s Computerized Machine Tool Engineering program and SkillsUSA CNC contests. Students will be chosen by criteria as outlined by program instructors and advisory committee members.
On KVOE’s monthly Tech Talk this past Tuesday, Flint Hills Technical College announced a better than $670,000 grant from the Patterson Family Foundation to help evolve the Commercial Driver’s License program and to start a Precision Agriculture program.
