The Emporia Community Foundation’s 11th annual Match Day is well underway, and Chief Executive Officer Linda Kehres-Schmidt says things got off to an impressive start.
The Community Foundation has 35 charitable groups involved from across Lyon and surrounding counties. There is also a $170,000 matching pool, courtesy of the following donors:

Residents can go to the Emporia Community Foundation office, 527 Commercial, until 7 pm to donate, either in the office or by drive-thru using the alley on the west side of the office. They can also donate online at emporiamatchday.com through 11:59 pm. Regardless of the location or method, residents can donate to several participating groups at the same time.
Fundraising totals will not be made public until the Match Day check presentation at Flinthills Mall on Dec. 3. KVOE will carry that event live on air and also online at KVOE.com.
