A Texas woman was arrested for alleged drug possession following a traffic stop in Osage County this past weekend.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, the traffic stop was initiated just after 3:30 pm Sunday at milepost 141 on US Highway 75 for an alleged traffic violation. During the stop a K-9 unit was deployed and illegal narcotics were supposedly found in the vehicle in the vehicle driven by 51-year-old Maria D.L. Vidal Cruz of Mount Pleasant, Texas.
Vidal Cruz was taken into custody on a single count of possession of methamphetamine and was taken to the Osage County Jail where she remains at last word. Formal charges are currently pending.
