A decision on formal charges has not yet been made in Osage County when it comes to Lyndon superintendent Brad Marcotte.
Officials in Lyndon City Hall say there is no paperwork through the City Prosecutor’s Office in Marcotte’s case. Reports have been turned over to a special prosecutor for further study.
Meanwhile, Marcotte — arrested last month on suspicion of child endangerment and interference with law enforcement — has requested an appeal hearing. USD 421 Board Chair Bryant Derley says a hearing officer has been assigned to Marcotte’s request and formal processes continue towards a hearing date.
Marcotte was placed on administrative leave without pay before the Lyndon Board of Education voted to terminate his employment. Lyndon Police Chief David Forkenbrock says Marcotte was allegedly driving a school bus after drinking alcohol.
Paul Dorathy is now serving as the district’s interim superintendent.
