Osage County is receiving state and federal funds for a special project.
The county is getting $745,000 for its Comprehensive Safety Action Plan, including $149,000 through Build Kansas funding and the rest through the federal government.
The Osage County funding is one of four projects at the county level statewide getting funds from the US Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All, or SS4A, program, as well as the state’s Kansas Infrastructure Hub and Build Kansas Fund and local community matching funds. Osage County’s project is also the one receiving the most total, federal and state funding as announced this week.
