Chase County filled up the schedule with its annual Country Christmas.
Chase County Chamber of Commerce Director Toni Schneider was pleased to see the weekend traffic connected to the shopping event.
Activities began Friday night with a Kid’s Night Out Before Christmas event and the weekly Emma Chase music event at Prairie PastTimes.
The schedule really fleshed out Saturday, with activities including an Ugly Sweater 5K, crafts, a live and silent auction, the lighting of the Chase County courthouse and a parade. There were also appearances by Cowboy Santa, Mrs Claus and Santa’s reindeer.
Activities were scattered across the county, largely centered in Cottonwood Falls but also taking place in Strong City and at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve.
