The Emporia Community Foundation, 35 benefiting groups and the raft of matching pool donors are all set to celebrate the latest Match Day effort Tuesday.
Community Foundation Chief Executive Officer Linda Kehres-Schmidt isn’t indicating just how much was raised two weeks ago, but she says things went well during the official fundraising period.
Beneficiaries are from Lyon County and all neighboring counties. This year’s matching pool was bolstered by donations from 11 different private donors and charitable foundations, a record for the event.
The Match Day check presentation will be at Flinthills Mall starting just after 10 am Tuesday. The event will be on KVOE and KVOE.com.
