Eight area high school basketball teams are ranked in the preseason rankings from the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association released on Tuesday.
The Emporia High girls are preseason ranked eighth in Class 5A. In Class 1A-Division II, Lebo is ranked second, while Marais des Cygnes Valley is sixth. The Osage City girls are ranked ninth in 3A and the Olpe girls 10th in 1A-Division I. On the boys side, Olpe is ranked third in Class 1A-Division I. Lebo is ranked sixth in 1A-DII. Lyndon is ranked ninth in Class 2A.
