Winter commencement activities are now on the horizon for Emporia State University.
As has been the case for years, winter comencement will involve activities the evening of Dec. 13 and the morning of Dec. 14, both at White Auditorium. Graduate ceremonies begin at 6 pm Dec. 13, with Regent Blake Benson as the featured speaker. Undergraduates will get their degrees starting around 9:30 am Dec. 14. Regent Wint Winter will deliver the keynote address for undergrads, with another speech coming from Emporia State’s 2024 Roe Cross Distinguished Professor, William Jensen.
Doors open 90 minutes before the ceremonies.
For residents needing help with accessibility issues, White Auditorium has a wheelchair and a transport chair — but neither are to be used as seating for the ceremonies. Additional accessible seating is also available on the White Auditorium floor and the second-floor concourse. University staff will also help people needing to get into and out of the auditorium.
