The Trusler Foundation has announced its latest round of grant recipients:
*Abundant Harvest gets almost $12,000 to expand its free hot meal program
*Chase County Care and Compassion, also known as C4 food Pantry, is receiving almost $12,000 for its food pantry construction and renovation process
*Chase County is receiving $25,000 for an outdoor emergency warning siren
*Sacred Heart gets $10,000 for its “Helping Our Littlest Community Members Thrive” initiative
*Symphony in the Flint Hills receives $35,000 for its 20th annual signature concert and related activities
The Trusler Foundation Advisory Committee met last month to review grant applications. Grants are to be used for charitable, educational, literary, religious and scientific purposes in Lyon, Chase and Coffey counties. The Trusler Foundation is managed by ESB Financial and works in conjunction with the Emporia Community Foundation.
Thursday’s announcement by the Trusler Foundation follows a separate announcement by the Sadie Jones Fund last month:
*CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness receives $3,000 to install a privacy fence at its crisis house property
*Hartford City Park Improvement Project gets $10,000 to build a new park
*USD 252 Southern Lyon County gets $3,000 for its “Stop Trafficking Project.”
The Sadie Jones Fund, an endowed fund through the Emporia Community Foundation, offers grant funding for vision, hearing, health and safety projects in Lyon and Chase counties.
