The Emporia High boys wrestling team finished with a 3-2 record in the Junction City Blue Jay Duals on Saturday.
Emporia High went 2-1 in pool play defeating Wichita West, 54-27 and Hays, 54-21, before falling to Washburn Rural, 42-39. Derby defeated the Spartans despite a 38-38 dual based on a tiebreaker of maximum point wins of 5-4. Emporia High ended the day with a 50-27 victory over Junction City. Jack Haynes (106), Gabe Wassom (120) and Garrett LeBlanc (165) each went 5-0 on the day.
Emporia High will travel to Douglass for its next meet on Saturday.
