Sentencing has been delayed for a Marysville man who pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter and aggravated battery after a fatal crash near Emporia over 18 months ago.
Travis Edwards was supposed to have sentencing Friday, but that was delayed to Jan. 10 so Edwards could have shoulder surgery later this month.
Edwards was originally charged with two counts of second-degree murder, three counts of aggravated battery and one count of interference with law enforcement after his semi crashed into several other vehicles at US Highway 50 and Road C in April 2023, killing two people. Edwards pleaded no contest to two counts of involuntary manslaughter and one count of aggravated battery.
