The Emporia Municipal Band was the latest local entity to bring holiday cheer to Emporia this weekend.
The band hosted its annual Christmas concert inside the Emporia Granada Theatre, performing various holiday medleys featuring music from around the world and some recognizable favorites.
Selections also included compositions from several well-known composers, including Johann Strauss, Matt Conway, Lloyd Conley, Leroy Anderson, and many more. The concert was free to attend; however, attendees had the opportunity to embrace the spirit of giving by donating to Flint Hills Animal Advocates during the event.
