Emporia Fire is investigating after a small fire was reported in a west Emporia home.
Fire crews from Emporia and Americus responded to 2811 Melrose shortly after noon. Emporia Fire Battalion Chief Ryan Conley says there was fire in the kitchen when crews arrived.
The extent of fire and smoke damage is being determined. No injuries were reported.
