For the fourth consecutive year, 10 local families and individuals will receive a very special gift just ahead of Christmas thanks to Troy’s Trany’s and KVOE.
The fourth annual Gift of Groceries drawing took place at Troy’s Thursday afternoon with co-owner Kandy Dall doing the heavy lifting. Dall says Troy’s is always happy to be a part of the event as it is an opportunity to pay back blessings the community has bestowed on them over the years.
Each of the families drawn will receive a $100 gift card to either Country Mart or Good’s Cash Saver. Families were nominated for the drawing by local residents who felt it could help them during the holiday season.
Since it began in 2021 the Gift of Groceries event has benefited more than 40 local families. The names of the beneficiaries will not be announced, however, the nominators included:
