In fact, the National Weather Service has issued dense fog advisories involving Lyon, Chase, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee counties until noon Wednesday.
Along with visibility of 0.25-miles or less at its thickest, the fog could combine with overnight lows of around 30 degrees to cause slick spots on elevated surfaces like bridges and overpasses.
Whenever fog is a travel concern, the National Weather Service advises drivers to slow down, use low-beam headlights and increase the driving distance between vehicles.
