A report of a structure fire Thursday afternoon led to smoke but no fire.
Fire crews were sent to 1915 West 24th on the Four Seasons Apartments campus around 4:15 pm after reports of a smoke smell. Emporia Fire says a blower motor had malfunctioned, causing the smell.

Firefighters have been toned to a reported structure fire at an Emporia apartment complex.
Emporia, Americus and Olpe were dispatched to the Four Seasons Apartment complex, officially at 1915 West 24th 1A, just after 4:15 pm after smoky smells were reported. Additional details are pending.
