The Emporia High bowling teams hosted its first home meet of the season on Thursday at Flint Hills Lanes.
The Emporia High boys won their tri with a 3,396, one pin better than runner up Seaman. The Emporia High girls finished second with a 2,605.
Three Spartans placed with Colton Swift leading the way with a second place finish and a series of 657. Swift just missed bowling a 300 in his first game, but said it was a good day.
Morgan Liggett finished third with a 642 series and Caydrick Crouch finished fifth with a 614 series. On the girls side, Emily Major finished fifth with a 534. Major said it was a fun day.
Coach Amy Martin said it was a solid day for both teams.
Emporia High will head to Topeka for a meet on Tuesday.
