Probation is the sentence after a plea agreement in a Lyon County attempted exploitation case.
Adam Chestnut had pleaded no contest to two counts of attempted sexual exploitation of at least one child under the age of 18 back in November after he was originally facing 22 exploitation counts.
The crime has a presumptive probation sentence, so Judge Jeff Larson sentenced Chestnut to four years probation, with sentences for the two counts served consecutively. Probation violations will lead to 26 months in prison. Chestnut also has lifetime postrelease supervision.
