A plea hearing is tentatively set for next month in the case of an Emporia man charged with a fatal crash in Johnson County from this past spring.
Jason Brumley is set to appear Feb. 13. Initially, Brumley was set for a plea hearing earlier this month, but prosecutor Lannie Ornburn withdrew from the case.
Brumley is charged with involuntary manslaughter-driving under the influence and two counts of aggravated battery after he allegedly crashed into another vehicle near Interstate 35 and Sunflower Road in May 2024.
