The top two seeds in the girls portion of the Flint Hills Shootout are moving onto Saturday’s championship game.
Osage City, the No. 1 seed, defeated Lyndon, 49-35. Kaelyn Boss led the way for the Lady Indians with 24 points. Allie Kneisler led Lyndon with 14. Chase County, the No. 2 seed, defeated Mission Valley, 51-31. Madelyn Wilson led the Lady Bulldogs with 20. Osage City and Chase County will meet Saturday for the tournament championship at 6 p.m. Lyndon and Mission Valley will play at 3 p.m. for third place. Both games will air on Country 101.7 and KVOE.com/TV. In the consolation side of the bracket, Wabaunsee defeated Council Grove, 39-28, while West Franklin edged Cair Paravel, 30-28. Wabaunsee and West Franklin will play for fifth at Noon Saturday while Council Grove and Cair Paravel will play for seventh at 9 a.m.
The boys portion of the tournament will resume at 3 p.m. Friday with Cair Paravel taking on West Franklin followed by Lyndon and Chase County at 4:30 p.m. The evening session of Friday’s action will air on Country 101.7 and streaming audio and video at KVOE.com/TV.
