Despite poor weather for much of January, progress continues at the site of Emporia’s newest hotel.
Work has gone from erecting part of the frame at 3010 Eaglecrest to the construction of external walls for all four floors of the hotel space.
Dirt work for the nearly-90-room hotel and convention center began in July after demolition began in December 2022. The property, most recently the home of a Montana Mike’s restaurant, had been vacant since 2017.
The hotel is tentatively set for a Fairfield flag.
